If a PGA Tour player averages 2.013 putts from 40 feet it is the calculation of total number of putts it takes you from the same distance. If you two putted from 40 feet, you would gain +.013 putts versus the average PGA Tour player. You then compile all of those lost or gained strokes for holes 1-18 and come up with a total number. Basically if you are on the positive side of .0000 you are putting better than the PGA Tour average. BirdieFire uses your First Putt Length data and compares that with the PGA Tour data to create a total SGP vs the PGA Tour.
